The National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT) has officially opened the online application process for the M.Sc. Joint Entrance Examination (M.Sc. JEE) 2025. This entrance exam is the gateway to the prestigious M.Sc. in Hospitality Administration program offered at various Institutes of Hotel Management (IHMs) across the country.
Eligibility and Application Process
Graduates from any discipline, including those with a background in Hospitality, from recognized universities are eligible to apply for the M.Sc. HA program. Candidates currently in their final year/semester of graduation may also apply, provided they have cleared all previous semesters and can furnish their complete Bachelor’s degree by 31st October 2025. Notably, there is no age limit for admission to this postgraduate program.
The last date to apply online is 16th May 2025, and interested candidates are encouraged to complete the process well before the deadline.
Entrance Exam and Evaluation
The M.Sc. JEE 2025 will be conducted on 24th May 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon in online mode. The exam will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions covering graduate-level field-related topics, general knowledge, general English, and numerical aptitude. Each correct answer carries one mark, while 0.25 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
An All India Merit List will be prepared based on the marks scored in the M.Sc. JEE, which will determine the order of counselling and seat allotment. The results are scheduled to be announced on 30th May 2025.
Counselling and Admission
Admission to the IHMs will be based on merit in the entrance exam and the preferences exercised by candidates during the centralized online counselling, which will be conducted in two rounds starting from mid-June 2025. Candidates shortlisted in the merit list must register separately for counselling and pay a non-refundable fee of ₹2,000 to participate in the process.
