The operation was initiated based on intelligence developed from an earlier case registered as FIR No. 336/2025, dated November 11, 2025, by the Crime Branch of Delhi Police. The case was registered under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Copyright Act, 1957.
