National Centre for Cell Sciences (NCCS), Pune invites application from eligible candidates for admission to a Ph.D. programme for August 2023 session.
ELIGIBLITY
Candidates having Masters degree in any branch of Science with an interest in pursuing research in various areas of Modern Biology like Immunology, Cell & Molecular biology, Structural Biology, Bioinformatics, Neuroscience, Infectious Biology, Cancer Biology, Microbial Ecology etc., having at least 55% or equivalent Grade Point Average (GPA) and and having a valid Junior Research Fellowship from CSIR / UGC / DBT (Category I) / ICMR / BINC / DST Inspire are eligible to apply
Candidates who do not have a fellowship but have got qualified JGEEBILS examination conducted by NCBS / TIFR held in December 2022 are also eligible to apply,
However the candidates shortlisted by NCCS criteria will only be called for the interview
PRORAMME DETAILS
NCCS’s Ph.D. program is a full-time program. The selected candidates may have to stay on campus. Hostel Accommodation, on Campus, is available on sharing basis, on first cum first serve basis.
AGE LIMIT
The upper age limit for JRF shall be below 28 years as on 1st August 2023, which is relaxed up to 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/Women/PWD and 3 years in case of OBC candidates

The last date for receipt of applications is 28th April 2023, list of shortlisted candidates called for Interview to be released on 2nd May 2023, First round interview to be held on 10th, 11th and 12th May 2023, First round results to be announced on 12th May 2023
