The Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has announced the commencement of the NBSE exam form 2026 filling for both HSLC (Class 10) and HSSLC (Class 12) students. As per the official notification, the NBSE HSLC and HSSLC exam forms can be filled from September 22, 2025, and the process will continue until October 10, 2025.
The form-filling window is open for regular, repeater, and compartmental candidates. Students must submit their application forms through the official NBSE website within the stipulated timeline.
Important Guidelines for NBSE Exam 2026
According to the NBSE notice, heads of institutions have been reminded not to conduct selection tests at the Class 10 and 12 level to filter weak students. Instead, schools must encourage all students to improve their academic performance and support them through remedial measures.
The roll number will be issued to students only after the successful submission of the exam form. Additionally, schools must submit the internal assessment marks and practical grades only after the roll numbers are allotted.
Candidates must also note that students failing to secure the qualifying marks in internal assessment will not be eligible to appear for the exams. For Class 11 admissions, only those who qualify in Mathematics A will be eligible for the Science stream, while students qualifying in Mathematics will be eligible for the Commerce stream.
NBSE HSLC Exam 2026 Application Fee
The revised fee structure for NBSE HSLC (Class 10) exam form filling is as follows:
- Regular/Repeater Candidates: ₹1350
- Compartmental Candidates: ₹600
- Change of Exam Centre: ₹200
- Students with Disabilities: Fee Exempted
NBSE HSSLC Exam 2026 Application Fee
For NBSE HSSLC (Class 12) exam form filling, the revised fee is:
- Arts, Commerce, Science Streams: ₹1500
- Practical Exam Fee (per subject): ₹100
- Repeater Candidates: ₹1500
- Compartmental/Improvement (per subject): ₹650
- Change of Exam Centre: ₹200
Students will also be permitted to change their exam centre to Kohima Town if required. However, any corrections or discrepancies in the application details must be submitted in writing separately.
