Directorate of Minorities in association with Minority Welfare Department Karnataka, in association with Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India has released Notification for Pre Matric, Post Matric, Merit Cum Means Scholarships (Fresh and Renewal) for Minorities under National Scholarship Portal For the year 2020 – 21 and the Last date to Apply is 31st October 2020

FRESH

ELIGIBILITY

The applicant should have secured 50% marks in the last annual Board/Class examination (Not applicable for students studying in 1st std)

Annual income of the students’ Parents/ Guardians from all sources should not exceed

• Rs.1 Lakh for Pre Matric Scholarship,
• Rs.2 Lakh for Post Matric Scholarship and
• Rs.2.5 Lakh for Merit Cum Means Scholarship

Student should belong to Karnataka State, Students of Karnataka domicile studying in other states are also eligible to apply in Karnataka

Scholarships under each scheme is sanctioned only on the basis of Admission Fee & Tuition Fee.

NOT ELIGIBLE?

Students pursuing correspondence education and certificate courses or training’s are not eligible

Pre Matric students not submitting their hard copies along with online application to their respective schools.

Post Matric & Merit Cum Means students not submitting their hard copies along with online application to their respective institute/colleges and Taluk Nodal Officer

Students whose application is not forwarded online to next level by the Head Master/Principal of the institute, schools and colleges

Merit Cum Means students who not upload the required documents

Students securing less than 50% of marks in their previous Board/Class

Students having backlog in their previous exam as on the date of submission of their application are not eligible for scholarship

Students who Enclose Invalid income and caste certificate

Student who provide wrong information like  school/college/Institution name, class/course name, Scheme name in their online application

NOTE 

To avail scholarship for Minorities in Karnataka, it is mandatory to apply both under National Scholarship Portal – NSP (GOI) and State Scholarship Portal – SSP (GOK) 

Applicants are advised to apply online for any one of the scholarship schemes on the website of National Scholarship Portal at www.scholarships.gov.in

• Income Certificate
• Self Declaration
• Bonafide Certificate (If applying for MCM)
• Bank Pass Book (Bank account to be linked with Aadhar Number)

PROCEDURE TO APPLY

FOR FRESH

Step 1: CLICK HERE (VISIT Official Website)
Step 2: Click on New Registration button.
Step 3: Read the Guidelines given on Registration on National Scholarship Portal, then Click Continue button
Step 4: Fill the Student Registration Form
Step 5: Click on the Check boxes of Aadhar consent, Bank Account and Application form.
Step 6: Enter all required details then Click on the Register button.
Step 7: Student registration ID will be displayed. (Note it down for further reference), then Click on Continue Button

NOTE : The login ID and password to login into NSP portal will be your Application Id and Date of Birth.

Step 8: After Login in NSP Portal using your Login ID and Password NOTE : You will receive an OTP of 5 digits on Registered Mobile
Number/Email ID.
Step 9: Confirm OTP. will take you to Change Password Page. Change your password as per instruction in the same page.
Step 10: Click ‘’Application Form’’ button and enter General Information / Academic / Other details 
Step 11: Click on “Save & Continue”to Switch on to next Page

Step 12: Applicant is directed to see the next page for “Contact Details & Scheme Details”, Fill Contact Selects and Select Scheme

Step 13: After selecting the scheme, in the same page, an Upload Document section will be displayed, (NOTE : Upload documents only if you are applying for Merit cum means Scheme if Not then No Need to upload any document) 

NOTE : Re-check all your entries, uploaded documents, before finally submitting the application

Sep 14: Click on Submit Button, Take a print out by Clicking print Button for further reference and also as an Acknowledgement.

PROCEDURE TO APPLY

FOR RENEWAL 

Step 1: CLICK HERE (VISIT Official Website)
Step 2: Click on “Login” button and select Renewal 2020-21 in drop down.
Step 3: Login using Last year NSP application ID and last year password.
Step 4: After login you be directed to Student’s Home Page
Step 5: Click on  “Pre-Filled Information” button and Check your last year details.
Step 6: Click “Apply for Renewal’’ & enter Renewal details

Step 7: After selecting the scheme, in the same page, an Upload Document section will be displayed, (NOTE : Upload documents only if you are applying for Merit cum means Scheme if Not then No Need to upload any document) 

NOTE : Re-check all your entries, uploaded documents, before finally submitting the application

Step 8: Click on Submit Button, Take a print out by Clicking print Button for further reference and also as an Acknowledgement.

DOCUMENTS TO ENCLOSE

• Previous year/last year exam Marks Card
• Fee Receipts with Tuition Fee and Admission Fee separately mentioned.
• Income Certificate issued by competent authority / Tahasildar Revenue Department
• Self-Declaration of Minority Community Certificate by the Student
• Bonafide student of Institution (Only for MCM Students)
• Proof of bank account in the name of student (1st Page Xerox copy)
• Aadhar Card Xerox copy, if don’t have Aadhar then provide Aadhar EID copy.
• Passport size Photo

NOTE : 

Pre Matric students are advised to prepare two sets of their application along with the required documents, submit one full set to the Principal of your Institute and keep one set for your further reference

Post Matric & Merit Cum Means students are advised to prepare three sets of their application along with the required documents, submit one full set to the Principal of your Institute, another set to The Taluk Officer for Minorities and keep one set for your further reference.
