MeitY invites applications for 3 Global Impact Challenges 2025: Total Awards Worth ₹5.85 Crore

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has officially opened applications for the three flagship Global Impact Challenges 2025, announced by Union Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw in September 2025. These prestigious global initiatives — AI for All: Global Impact Challenge, AI by HER: Global Impact Challenge, and YUVAi: Global Youth Challenge — aim to accelerate the growth of inclusive, responsible, and scalable Artificial Intelligence (AI) innovations that can create meaningful social and economic impact.

With total awards worth ₹5.85 crore, these challenges are now live on the official portal, from across the globe to participate. The final showcase of winning solutions will take place at the India-AI Impact Summit 2026, scheduled for February 19–20, 2026, in New Delhi.

  1. AI FOR ALL: GLOBAL IMPACT CHALLENGE

The AI for All Challenge is a global call for AI-based innovations that demonstrate high potential for large-scale deployment and address pressing national and global challenges.

  • Travel support for 20 finalists (up to 2 members each) to attend the India-AI Impact Summit 2026
  • Access to mentorship, investor connects, cloud credits, and accelerator pathways

Eligibility: Open globally to students, researchers, professionals, startups, and companies with AI solutions at the pilot or scale-ready stage.

  1. AI BY HER: GLOBAL IMPACT CHALLENGE

The AI by HER Challenge, organized by the Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP) under NITI Aayog, is dedicated to empowering women-led AI innovations and promoting gender inclusivity in technology.

  1. YUVAI: GLOBAL YOUTH CHALLENGE

The YUVAi Global Youth Challenge focuses on young innovators aged 13–21 years and aims to nurture AI-powered ideas for public good.

Awards & Support:

  • Total prize pool of ₹85 lakh, including:
    • ₹15 lakh each for the top 3 winners
    • ₹10 lakh each for the next 3 winners
    • Two special recognition awards of ₹5 lakh each
  • Travel support for top 20 participants
  • 10-day virtual bootcamps, investor showcases, and a permanent online compendium

Eligibility: Open to global youth innovators (13–21 years) with working AI prototypes or proof-of-concept models.
