The Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), the conducting body of the Maharashtra State Eligibility Test (MH SET), has officially started the registrations for the MH SET 2025, Candidates aspiring to qualify for assistant professor positions in Maharashtra and Goa can now register online from 24th February 2025.
The application window will remain open until 13th March 2025 (6 PM). Candidates who miss the deadline can still submit their applications with a late fee of Rs 500 from 14th March 2025 (11 AM) to 21st March 2025 (6 PM).
MH SET 2025: EXAM DATE AND APPLICATION FEES
The 40th MH SET 2025 exam is scheduled for 15th June 2025. The examination will be conducted in offline mode across multiple cities in Maharashtra and Goa. Candidates must pay the application fee along with their registration:
- Rs 800 for General category candidates
- Rs 650/for OBC, SC, ST, EWS, and PwD category candidates
MH SET 2025: EXAM PATTERN
The MH SET 2025 exam consists of two papers, both featuring objective-type questions:
- Paper 1: Assesses teaching and research aptitude, covering reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking, and general awareness. Each question carries two marks.
- Paper 2: Focuses on the subject chosen by the candidate, with 100 compulsory objective-type questions, each worth two marks.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR MH SET 2025
Before applying, candidates must ensure they meet the eligibility criteria:
- A Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (50% for reserved categories) from a recognized university.
- Candidates who have already qualified for SET in a particular subject cannot reappear for the exam in the same subject.
MINIMUM QUALIFYING MARKS
To qualify for the MH SET 2025 exam, candidates must secure the minimum required scores in both papers combined:
- General category: 40% aggregate marks
- Reserved categories (OBC, SC, ST, EWS, PwD): 35% aggregate marks
