Karnataka State Govt constitute Committee to review OPS

The Karnataka State Government Employees Association had given an call for Karnataka State Government Employees indefinite strike from today (1st March 2023) demanding the implementation of the 7th Pay Commission report,  reverting to the Old Pension Scheme

In the wake of it the Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai announced an interim salary hike of 17 % to placate the agitating Karnataka State Government Employees Association, for more details and order copy CLICK HERE

And also the Karnataka State Government has decided to constitute a committee under the chairmanship of the deputy chief secretary to review the old pension scheme in the state and issued an order, 

The New Pension Scheme (NPS) is being implemented in Karnataka State for the Employees who joined Service from 01.04.2006, As some of the States have revert back to Old Pension Scheme (NPS), the Karnataka State Government Employees Association had requested the State Government to implement the old pension scheme instead of the National Pension Scheme. 

After reviewing the request the Karnataka State Government has decided to form a committee under the chairmanship of the Deputy Chief Secretary to study and submit a report on the steps taken to implement the scheme in the states which have already re-implemented the old pension scheme, for more details and order copy CLICK HERE
