Pressing their demand for the implementation of the 7th Pay Commission to revise salaries and withdrawal of the New Pension Scheme (NPS), Karnataka State Government Employees Association has warned the State Government of boycotting work for an indefinite protest from 1st March 2023

An emergency executive meeting was convened on 21st February 2023 under the chairmanship of Association president C S Shadakshari to discuss the next steps regarding the implementation of the 7th Pay Commission to revise salaries and withdrawal of the New Pension Scheme (NPS) in the wake of Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai’s failing to address their demands in the 2023-24 Budget

In the Statement released by the Karnataka State Government Employees Association, It stated We are giving 7 days notice to the Karnataka State Government to fulfil our demands regarding the implementation of the 7th Pay Commission to revise salaries and withdrawal of the New Pension Scheme (NPS). Otherwise, we will take out an indefinite protest by boycotting the work from 1st March 2023
