Karnataka State Govt employees to start indefinite strike

The Karnataka State Government Employees go on the indefinite strike from today (1st March 2023) demanding the implementation of the 7th Pay Commission report,  reverting to the Old Pension Scheme and implementation of at least 40% of fitment facilities as the talk with Karnataka Chief Minister Basaraja Bommai Yesterday late night failed,

As per the sources the late night meeting of Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai with the Karnataka State Government Employees Association failed to convince the Karnataka State Government Employees Association to withdraw its protest. 

The Karnataka State Chief Minister Basavraja Bommai assured the Karnataka State Government Employees Association representatives that he needed only 10 days to announce an interim order on 7th Pay commission salary revision. 

While related to reverting to the Old Pension Scheme the Karnataka State Chief Minister Basavraja Bommai said a committee would be constituted to study regarding the reintroduction of the old pension scheme.

Karnataka State Government Employees Association president C S Shadakshari said the Chief Minister asked us to trust him. He added the Chief Minister Basavraja Bommai said Government needs 10 days time give us an interim order 

The State Government is positive about our demands of implementation of 7th Pay Commission and reverting back to Old Pension Scheme, but we need to discuss them internally.

Karnataka State Government Employees Association president C S Shadakshari further added the call for the indefinite strike will continue,
