In the wake of surge in COVID 19 cases globally, Karnataka State Government had convened a significant meeting today (26th December 2022) with Officials and Technical Advisory Committee to discuss about the measures to contain the spike in COVID 19 cases, Karnataka State Government has released the COVID 19 guidelines for International arrival, New year Celebrations and Other events, Booster dose vaccination

As per the guidelines released All celebrations in connection with New year should be completed by 1 AM, All large assemblies should be outdoor, Mandatory masking at theatres announced, for more details CLICK HERE

Karnataka health Minister Dr K Sudhakar after attending the meeting announced that masks to be made compulsory even indoors and all new year celebrations must end by 1 am, He added Masks have been made mandatory inside movie theatres, schools and colleges. Masks will be mandatory to celebrate the New Year in pubs, restaurants and bars,

Minister R Ashok after the COVID meeting said action will be taken if the rules are violated. COVID rules should be followed in public places. He said that strict measures have been taken to control spike in COVID 19 cases

Karnataka health Minister Dr K Sudhakar  requested to voluntarily take the third dose of vaccine, he added foreigners will be tested randomly, no ban has been imposed on any political events, but instructions will be given to follow the COVID rules,

No decision been taken regarding imposing fine, Sanitizer should be kept inside the class room of schools and colleges and near the room before coming to school, further added No need to panic, just have to take precautions
