The National Testing Agency (NTA) will soon open the registration window for the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2026, which serves as the gateway for admission to BTech, BArch, and BPharma programmes across premier technical institutes in India. As per reports, the JEE Main 2026 registration process will begin in October 2025, with the exam being conducted in two sessions — January 2026 (Session 1) and April 2026 (Session 2).

JEE Main 2026 Registration Dates and Exam Schedule

The JEE Main 2026 will be held in two phases to offer candidates flexibility and a fair chance to improve their scores. Session 1 is scheduled for January 2026, while Session 2 will take place in April 2026. Candidates will have the option to appear in either one or both sessions, with the best of two scores considered for admission and ranking purposes.

The JEE Main 2026 application form will be available on the official NTA website — jeemain.nta.ac.in. Last year, the registration began on October 28, and students were given nearly a month to complete their submissions. Aspirants can expect a similar schedule this year.

About JEE Main 2026 Exam Structure

The JEE Main 2026 exam will consist of two papers:

  • Paper 1: For admission to BE/BTech programmes.
    • Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics
    • Mode: Computer-Based Test (CBT)

  • Paper 2: For admission to BArch (Paper 2A) and BPlanning (Paper 2B) courses.
    • Sections: Mathematics, Aptitude Test, and Drawing/Planning Test
    • Mode: CBT for Mathematics and Aptitude; offline for Drawing Test (for BArch).
