The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to announce the JEE Main 2026 registration dates soon on the official website. Along with the registration dates, NTA will also release the JEE Main 2026 exam dates, detailed information bulletin, exam pattern, and syllabus. Engineering aspirants across India are eagerly awaiting the official notification to begin the registration process for one of the country’s most competitive engineering entrance examinations.

Earlier, NTA had indicated that the JEE Main 2026 registration process would begin in October 2025, but the registration window has not yet opened. However, the agency has made available a JEE Main 2026 registration demo link, enabling candidates to familiarize themselves with the online application procedure, review eligibility criteria, and prepare necessary documents in advance.

NTA Advisory for JEE Main 2026 Aspirants

Recently, NTA issued an important advisory for JEE Main 2026 candidates, urging them to update their Aadhaar details, UDID (for PwD candidates), and category certificates (EWS, SC, ST, OBC-NCL) before the registration window opens. The purpose of this advisory is to avoid discrepancies during the application and verification process.

The NTA clarified that the advisory is not related to exam city allocation. Candidates will still be able to choose their preferred examination centres while filling the JEE Main 2026 application form.

Candidates are required to pay the registration fee online through debit card, credit card, net banking, or UPI mode. It is advised to keep a printed receipt of the transaction for future reference.

JEE Main 2026: Exam Structure and Schedule

The JEE Main 2026 examination will be held in two sessions — January and April 2026. Conducted by the National Testing Agency, the exam serves as a gateway for admission to undergraduate programs in engineering, architecture, and planning at premier institutes such as the National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs).
