Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) has officially released its Admission Brochure for Undergraduate (UG) Programmes for the 2026–27 academic session. With the release of the brochure, the admission process has commenced today and will continue until March 31, 2026. This year, the university has made it mandatory for all applicants to create Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) and Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR) IDs, in line with UGC guidelines.
GGSIPU is offering admissions across UG, PG, and doctoral programmes, with more than 43,000 seats available in over 130 affiliated colleges and university schools, making it one of the largest state universities in Delhi-NCR.
GGSIPU Admission Dates 2026–27
The online registration process for admissions will begin on February 2, 2026. Candidates must submit their application forms through the official portal and pay the application-cum-counselling fee of ₹2,500 before the deadline.

GGSIPU CET 2026 Exam Schedule
Admission to most programmes will be through the GGSIPU Common Entrance Test (CET) 2026, which will be conducted across a window from April 25 to May 17, 2026.
After the declaration of results, the centralised counselling process—including document verification and seat allotment—is expected to begin in June 2026 and may continue until July 31, 2026, depending on the course-specific schedule.
Mandatory ABC & APAAR IDs
The University has mandated that all students must create ABC and APAAR IDs before admission. These IDs will be used to digitally store academic credits and ensure seamless academic mobility as per the National Education Policy (NEP 2020).
Eligibility Criteria – Course Specific
GGSIPU has prescribed separate eligibility conditions for each programme. Candidates must carefully review the brochure before applying.

- Admission through NEET UG 2026
- Duration: 5.2 years
- Subjects in Class 12: Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, English (passed individually)
- Minimum Marks:
- General: 50% (PCB)
- SC/ST/OBC: 40% (subject to seat availability)
- Minimum Age: 17 years as on December 31, 2026
Age Limit Criteria
- UG programmes (12th-based, excluding MBBS): Maximum 21 years
- Specified UG programmes: Upper age limit 25 years
- PG programmes (graduation-based): Upper age limit 35 years
Age is calculated as on December 31 of the admission year.
Management Quota Admissions
It is mandatory for candidates seeking admission through the management quota to qualify in at least one of the following:
- National Level Test
- GGSIPU CET 2026
- CUET
- Any other applicable entrance exam as notified
LLB & LLM Admissions via CLAT
- LLB admissions: Based on CLAT UG merit
- LLM admissions: Based on CLAT PG merit
Candidate data will be fetched directly from the Consortium of NLUs. Applicants must provide consent on the Consortium portal. Failure to give consent will result in disqualification, even if registered for counselling.
International Student Seats
As per UGC norms, GGSIPU offers 25% supernumerary seats for international students across UG and PG programmes. A separate admission brochure will be issued by the Office of the Director for International Affairs.
