Candidates belonging to the General category to pay the registration fees Rs 1000 and those belonging to the reserved category to pay Rs 500, The classes to start in August.
Candidates submitting the application for the Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA) Ph.D programme of to have passed MSc or Integrated MSc in Physics, Engineering Physics, Applied Mathematics, Astronomy, Electronics, Photonics, Applied Physics, Optics.
Candidates with M.E or M.Tech and Integrated M.E or M.Tech in Applied Physics, Engineering Physics, Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Photonics, Optics, Opto-Electronics, Radio Physics & Electronics and the candidates with M.Phil in Applied Physics, Instrumentation, Photonics, Optics are eligible to apply , The stipend of a JRF is Rs. 37,000 pm, and of an SRF is Rs. 42,000 pm in addition to an annual book grant and medical facilities. Upon submission of the Ph.D. thesis the fellowship may be further increased to 46,000 pm
