The International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially released the full schedule for the 2025 ICC Women’s ODI World Cup, slated to run from 30th September to 2nd November across India and Sri Lanka. While India retains the official hosting rights, Sri Lanka will act as a neutral venue for all of Pakistan’s matches, owing to the ongoing political strain between India and Pakistan.
This marks the fourth time India will host the Women’s ODI World Cup, with the last edition held in the country in 2013. The tournament promises high-octane action with participation from eight top teams—India, Australia, England, South Africa, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Pakistan.
India will kick off the tournament on 30th September with a match against Sri Lanka at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. One of the most anticipated fixtures, the India vs Pakistan clash, is set to take place on 5th October at Colombo’s R Premadasa Stadium.
Defending champions Australia will begin their title defense against New Zealand on 1st October in Indore. All teams will play each other once in a single round-robin format, with the top four teams advancing to the semi-finals scheduled for 29th and 30th October. The grand final is slated for 2nd November, promising an electrifying finish to the month-long cricketing celebration.
The matches will be hosted across five cities—Bengaluru, Vizag, Indore, Guwahati, and Colombo—offering fans across South Asia a chance to witness world-class women’s cricket live. Prior to the main tournament, each team will play two warm-up games starting 24th September, allowing them to fine-tune their strategies and acclimatize to local conditions.
