The Har Ghar Tiranga campaign will be observed across India from 2nd to 15th August 2025, in celebration of the nation’s Independence Day. The initiative is structured into three distinct phases:
- Phase I: 2nd August to 8th August 2025
- Phase II: 9th August to 12th August 2025
- Phase III: 13th August to 15th August 2025
Launched under the larger umbrella of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Har Ghar Tiranga is a people-centric campaign designed to deepen citizens’ emotional connect with the Indian National Flag. Historically, the relationship Indians have shared with the national flag has been formal and ceremonial. This campaign aims to transform that connection into one that is more personal and participative, urging every household to proudly hoist the Tiranga.
The Ministry of Culture, Government of India, serves as the nodal agency for this campaign. Since its inception, Har Ghar Tiranga has evolved into a powerful mass movement. Over the past three years, people from all walks of life—students, workers, professionals, homemakers, and senior citizens—have actively engaged with the campaign, expressing their patriotism both online and offline. Social media platforms have seen an outpouring of support, with users changing their profile pictures, sharing stories, and participating in digital events.
The primary objective of the campaign is to ignite a sense of patriotism and to spread awareness about the significance of the national flag. The act of bringing the flag home is not just symbolic of love for the country but is also a reaffirmation of one’s commitment to the ideals of unity, diversity, and democracy that the flag represents.
Throughout the three phases, government bodies, schools, colleges, NGOs, and local communities will organize awareness drives, flag-hoisting ceremonies, cleanliness campaigns, and cultural programs. Citizens will be encouraged to buy or make flags, understand the flag code of India, and proudly display the national flag at their homes.
As India steps into another year of independence, Har Ghar Tiranga 2025 stands as a beacon of national pride, reminding every citizen that the tricolour is not just a flag—it is a reflection of India’s journey, struggles, and its glorious future, for more details CLICK HERE
