The Haj House Residential Coaching Institute (HHRCI), Mumbai, has announced its prestigious free residential coaching program for aspirants of the Civil Services Examination 2026 (Preliminary-cum-Mains). This initiative provides a unique opportunity for minority and underprivileged candidates to receive comprehensive coaching, along with free hostel accommodation, under expert guidance.
KEY FEATURES OF THE COACHING PROGRAM
HHRCI will select a total of 100 candidates for its XV batch for the academic year 2025–26. The selected candidates will receive free coaching and hostel accommodation till the UPSC Preliminary Examination in May 2026. Out of the total seats, 80% are reserved for candidates from the Muslim minority, and 20% for other minorities including SC/ST and OBC categories, in line with inclusive education principles.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Candidates must fulfill the following essential requirements:
Educational Qualification: Must be a graduate or a final-year student from a recognized university or institute in any discipline. A self-attested copy of the mark sheet or final-year certificate must be submitted at the time of admission. Failure to do so will lead to cancellation of the application.
Age Limit: Candidates must be between 21 and 30 years of age as on 1st August 2025.
Application Fee: A non-refundable processing fee of ₹100/- is to be paid online via Credit/Debit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.
ENTRANCE EXAMINATION AND SELECTION PROCESS
The selection procedure is comprehensive and merit-based:
Written Examination (Scheduled on 13th July 2025):
Paper-I: General Studies – 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) covering subjects such as History, Geography, Polity, Economics, Science and Technology, Environment, Arts and Culture, CSAT, and Current Affairs. Each question carries 2 marks, with a negative marking of 0.66 for each incorrect answer. (Total: 200 Marks)
Paper-II: CSAT – 80 MCQs testing comprehension, logical reasoning, and basic numeracy. Each question carries 2.5 marks with a penalty of 0.83 marks for wrong answers. (Total: 200 Marks), Note: Paper-II is a qualifying paper and candidates must score at least 30% to be considered for the next round.
Essay Writing & Personal Interview (Scheduled for 24th & 25th July 2025):
Shortlisted candidates based on Paper-I performance will be called for Essay Writing and a Personal Interview.
Admission & Security Deposit: Selected candidates must submit a refundable security deposit of ₹15,000 at the time of admission. Withdrawal before the Preliminary Examination will result in the forfeiture of this amount.
