The Foundation for Innovators in Science and Technology (FIST) at IIT Patna has opened applications for the FIST-IIT Patna Internship 2025, an esteemed internship program designed for 2nd and 3rd year undergraduate engineering students with a strong academic record. This unique initiative, developed under the NIDHI-TBI program of the Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, offers selected students a golden opportunity to gain hands-on experience by working closely with cutting-edge technology startups and innovators.
ELIGIBLITY
The internship is open to B.Tech students pursuing degrees in various engineering disciplines, including Computer Science, IT, AI & Data Science, Electrical, Electronics & Communication, Mechanical, Civil, Environmental, Agriculture, Chemical, Biochemical, Water Resources, and Metallurgical & Materials Engineering. Eligible candidates must have completed at least 60% of their coursework with computer literacy as an added advantage.

Interns will be engaged in real-world projects in emerging and impactful domains such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Machine Learning (ML), Deep Tech, Health-Tech, Electric Vehicle (EV) Technology, Drone Technology, and Green Energy. This experience is designed to enrich their practical understanding of technology and innovation while preparing them for future industry or research roles.
The benefits of the internship extend beyond the technical exposure, as each selected candidate will also receive an Internship Certificate upon successful completion. Required documents for the application include a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the head of the department, self-attested copies of grade sheets (10th, 12th, and latest semester), a curriculum vitae, a passport-size photograph (under 100 KB), and valid ID or university ID proof.
DEADLINE & SELECTION
The application deadline is 27th May 2025. In case of a large number of applications, initial shortlisting will be based on academic performance and relevant skills. Shortlisted students will then undergo an online interview to determine their final selection.
