Calicut University has officially announced the Calicut University Centralized Entrance Test (CUCET) 2025, online applications for admission to various Postgraduate and Integrated PG programmes offered by the University Teaching Departments, Affiliated Colleges, and University Self-Financing Centres for the academic year 2025-26.
Interested candidates must submit their applications through the official online portal on or before 15th April 2025, by 5:00 PM. Admissions under the ‘Open All India Quota’ and Lakshadweep Quota are also available, with candidates in these categories exempted from appearing in the entrance examination.
PROGRAMMES OFFERED
University Teaching Departments (Regular Mode)
A wide range of M.A. programmes are available in disciplines such as Arabic, English, Hindi, Functional Hindi & Translation, Malayalam, Comparative Literature, Sanskrit, Urdu, Economics, Folklore, History, Journalism & Mass Communication, Music, Philosophy, Political Science, Sociology, Women’s Studies, Development Studies, and Epigraphy & Manuscriptology.
The M.Sc. programmes cover subjects like Chemistry, Applied Geology, Botany, Applied Psychology, Zoology, Biochemistry, Computer Science, Environmental Science, Human Physiology, Mathematics, Microbiology, Physics, Radiation Physics, Statistics, Forensic Science, Biotechnology, and specialized programmes in Nanoscience (Physics & Chemistry).
Other PG programmes include M.Com, M.Lib.I.Sc, Master of Theatre Arts (M.T.A), and LLM with Double Specialisation.
University Self-Financing Centres
Programmes include Master of Social Work (MSW) and Master of Computer Application (MCA) in both Regular and Evening formats.
Affiliated Colleges
Courses such as M.A. Journalism & Mass Communication, M.Sc. Health & Yoga Therapy, M.Sc. Forensic Science, MSW (Disaster Management), and M.Sc. General Biotechnology are offered.
Integrated PG Programmes (University Campus)
Integrated M.Sc. in Botany, Zoology, Physics, Chemistry, and Integrated M.A. in Development Studies, Economics, Comparative Literature, Sanskrit, Arabic, and Theatre Arts are open for admission.
Physical Education Programmes
These include M.P.Ed. in Teaching Departments, and B.P.Ed., BPES (Integrated) in University Centres and Affiliated Colleges.

- Entrance Exam Dates: Tentatively scheduled on 6th, 7th, and 8th May 2025.
- Eligibility: Final semester/year students can also apply, but must produce original certificates at the time of admission.
