Through the CBSE Reading Mission Initiatives a series of activities have been introduced to facilitate and encourage reading habits among students and create a vibrant learning environment, By writing and submitting short stories under CBSE Budding Authors Programme 2024 – 25, the students have the exciting opportunity to express their imagination and ideas, with a chance to see their work published, This enriching experience not only hones their writing abilities but also nurtures their confidence and self-expression.

CBSE Budding Authors Programme 2024 – 25 under the CBSE Reading Mission aims to provide students a platform to engage in reading different types of stories and learning to write effectively.
As the students write and submit short stories under CBSE Budding Authors Programme 2024 – 25 , they would have an opportunity to express their creativity and get a chance to see them published

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE
The students of class 5 to 10 in the categories 5 to 6, 7 to 8 and 9 to 10 can participate for the CBSE Budding Authors Programme 2024 – 25, students can submit their stories in Hindi or English, the length of the story
| Class 5 to 6 | 500 – 600 Words |
| Class 7 to 8 | 600 – 900 Words |
| Class 9 to 10 | 1000 – 1500 Words |
The registration can be done from 5th April to 15th May 2024, School can nominate a teacher as a nodal officer for registering students who are inclined to write stories. No limit is placed on the number of registrations from each school, Techniques of Writing will be organized for the registered students by the experts through Webex from 1st June to 30th June 2024, The link for writing and submitting the stories will be available on the CBSE portal under CBSE Reading Mission on 1st July 2024.The students may develop, edit and finally submit their entries till 15th August 2024.

| CBSE Budding Authors Programme 2023-24 registration date extended |
Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has extended the last date to register for the CBSE Budding Authors Programme 2023-24 Phase II,
As per the notification released the last date for the Registration of shortlisted students for the second phase has been extended till 5th January 2024, Creating and Submission of stories can be done from 11th to 31st January 2024, for more details CLICK HERE
