The Bhumi – Cognizant Outreach Scholarship Program 2025–26 is a collaborative initiative by Bhumi, one of India’s largest youth volunteer organizations, and Cognizant Technology Solutions India Pvt. Ltd. The program aims to support academically bright but financially underprivileged students across India, providing them with financial assistance, mentorship, and career guidance to pursue higher education without interruptions.
Overview of the Bhumi – Cognizant Outreach Scholarship
Since its inception, the Bhumi – Cognizant Scholarship Program has supported over 600 students in the past three years, helping them continue their education and build sustainable careers. For the academic year 2025–26, the initiative continues with the goal of transforming the lives of talented students by removing financial barriers and ensuring educational continuity. The program is especially focused on first-year students in pre-degree, diploma, ITI, and undergraduate programs.
Documents Required
Applicants need to submit the following documents:
- Bonafide Student Certificate showing enrolment, course/branch, and year of study
- Aadhaar Card copy
- First page of Bank Passbook or canceled cheque
- Counseling, admission, or seat allotment letter
- Income Certificate, salary certificate, pension certificate, or Income Tax Return
- Mark sheet of Higher Secondary (12th/PUC/Intermediate) examination
- Mark sheet of Secondary School Certificate (10th) examination
- Parent or guardian’s declaration
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Academic Eligibility:
- Indian citizens with at least 80% in the last qualifying exam (70% for orphans, single-parent households, and PwDs)
- First-year students in Pre-Degree, Diploma, ITI, or Undergraduate programs
- Preference given to first-generation learners
Courses Eligible:
- Pre-Degree (MPC, BiPC, CEC, HEC)
- Diploma / ITI (STEM)
- BCA, B.Sc. (Computers, IT, Statistics, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Technology, Agriculture, Physiotherapy, Nursing)
- B.Com (General & Computers)
Financial Eligibility:
- Family annual income less than ₹3,00,000
- Assessment includes family occupation, educational background, and living conditions
Entrance Exam Eligibility:
- Applicants must clear the Bhumi – Cognizant Scholarship Entrance Exam with a minimum of 80% marks (70% for disadvantaged categories)
Renewal Criteria:
- Minimum 80% marks in the previous academic year for full scholarship
- 80% scholarship for scores below 80%
- 50% scholarship for students with standing arrears, with warning
- Minimum 80% attendance in training sessions required
