Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has officially opened the registration process for admission to its undergraduate (UG) programmes for the academic year 2025-26. Eligible candidates can apply through the university’s official portal. The last date to register is July 31, 2025.
For this year’s admissions, BHU is solely relying on the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG 2025 scores, aligning with the University Grants Commission’s centralized admission policy. To streamline and simplify the admission process, BHU has adopted the Combined Allotment Programme for Undergraduate Courses (CAP UG 2025), which ensures transparency and efficiency.
As part of the application process, candidates must ensure that the information they enter during registration—such as name, date of birth, gender, category, and selected course—exactly matches the details provided in their CUET UG 2025 application. Any discrepancies may lead to cancellation of candidature.
Applicants are required to use their National Testing Agency (NTA) application number to initiate the registration. In addition, candidates must have scanned copies of their Class 10 and 12 marksheets, birth certificate, and other supporting documents readily available while filling out the application form.
The registration fee structure is as follows:
- Rs 500 for candidates belonging to the Unreserved (UR), OBC-Non Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL), and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) categories.
- Rs 250 for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) candidates.
BHU is offering admission to more than 142 undergraduate programmes across its diverse and reputed faculties. These include disciplines such as arts, commerce, science, law, agriculture, visual arts, performing arts, vocational studies, and Sanskrit Vidya Dharma Vijnana.
Prospective applicants are advised to carefully go through the admission guidelines, maintain consistency in submitted information, and keep all required documents handy. As the deadline approaches, early registration is recommended to avoid last-minute issues.
