The Universal Postal Union (UPU) 2026 International Letter Writing Competition for Young People has been officially announced, inviting enthusiastic participation from students across India and worldwide. This prestigious global initiative aims to nurture creativity, strengthen writing skills, and encourage young minds to express meaningful ideas through the timeless art of letter writing. The competition promotes literary excellence, empathy, communication skills, and international understanding among students aged 9 to 15 years.
As per the official circular (Annexure–I), the theme for UPU 2026 is: “Write a letter to a friend about why human connection matters in a digital world.” This thought-provoking theme reflects the growing importance of balancing digital interactions with genuine human relationships in today’s technology-driven society.
