The Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) have officially announced the schedule for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2025, the national-level entrance exam for admission to prestigious postgraduate and doctoral management programs across IIMs. As per the official notification, the CAT 2025 exam will be conducted on November 30, 2025, in a computer-based format (CBT) across three sessions.
The registration process for CAT 2025 will commence on August 1, 2025, at 10 AM, and the application window will close on September 13, 2025, at 5 PM. Interested candidates can register through the official portal.
The CAT 2025 admit cards will be available for download from November 5 to November 30, and the result is expected to be declared in the first week of January 2026.
While CAT scores are a key component in the admission process to IIMs, they are not the sole criterion. The selection process also takes into account several other factors including work experience, past academic records, and gender and academic diversity. Furthermore, IIMs may conduct additional rounds such as Group Discussions (GD), Written Ability Tests (WAT), and Personal Interviews (PI) to finalize admissions.
As per the eligibility criteria, candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. A relaxation of 5% in the qualifying marks is granted for candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwD categories.
