MCC releases NEET UG 2025 Counselling Schedule: Registration Begins July 21

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has officially released the schedule for the NEET UG Counselling 2025, bringing clarity and structure for thousands of medical aspirants across India. The counselling process, which facilitates admissions to MBBS, BDS, and AYUSH courses, will be based on the candidates’ NEET UG 2025 scores. The registration for the first round will begin on July 21, 2025, via the MCC’s official portal.

SCOPE OF NEET UG COUNSELLING 2025

The MCC will conduct counselling for:

• 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats of state-run colleges
• 100% MBBS and BDS seats in BHU
• 100% MBBS seats in AIIMS institutes
• JIPMER Puducherry and Karaikal
• Other central and deemed universities

STRUCTURE OF COUNSELLING

NEET UG counselling 2025 will consist of four rounds:

3. Round 3
4. Stray Vacancy Round

Each round involves registration, fee payment, choice filling and locking, seat allotment, result declaration, and reporting to the allotted institute.

NEET UG 2025 COUNSELLING SCHEDULE

Round 1

• Registration & Payment: July 21 to July 28 (up to 12 noon)
• Choice Filling & Locking: July 22 to July 28 (11:55 PM)
• Choice Locking Window: July 28 (3 PM – 11:55 PM)
• Seat Allotment Processing: July 29 – July 30
• Result Announcement: July 31
• Reporting: August 1 to August 6

Round 2

• Registration & Payment: August 9 to August 11 (up to 12 noon)
• Choice Filling & Locking: August 12 to August 18
• Locking Window: August 18 (4 PM – 11:55 PM)
• Seat Allotment: August 19 – August 20
• Result: August 21
• Reporting: August 22 to August 29

Round 3

• Registration & Payment: September 3 to September 8
• Choice Filling & Locking: September 3 to September 8
• Locking Window: September 8 (3 PM – 11:55 PM)
• Seat Allotment: September 9 – September 10
• Result: September 11
• Reporting: September 12 to September 18

Stray Vacancy Round

• Registration: September 22 to September 24 (up to 12 noon)
• Choice Filling & Locking: September 22 to September 25
• Locking Window: September 25 (3 PM – 11:55 PM)
• Seat Allotment: September 25 – September 26
• Result: September 27
• Reporting: September 27 to October 3
