The MPOWER Women in STEM Scholarship 2025 is a prestigious initiative by MPOWER Financing, a fintech firm known for supporting international students, U.S. citizens, and Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) students through education loans. This scholarship recognizes and supports the aspirations of talented women pursuing studies in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields. It aims to empower female students with strong academic and professional potential to contribute meaningfully to science and society.
The scholarship is open to female students aged 18 and above who are either currently enrolled or have secured admission in a full-time STEM degree program at any of MPOWER’s partner universities in the United States or Canada. Eligible applicants must also be international students with legal permission to study in these countries.
The scholarship offers three tiers of awards:
- Grand Prize: USD 5,000
- First Runner-Up: USD 2,000
- Second Runner-Up: USD 1,000
The awarded amount is directly disbursed to the recipient’s educational institution. Winners will be notified via telephone, email, or mail using the contact details provided during the application process.
To apply, candidates must submit:
- A completed application form
- A copy of academic transcripts or admission letter
- Proof of citizenship, gender, and legal immigration status (such as passport and visa)
- Two short essays outlining the candidate’s achievements, aspirations, and impact in the STEM domain
The deadline to apply is 31 July 2025 (11:59 PM EST).
Selection is based on a combination of factors, including the quality of the essays, academic and/or professional accomplishments, potential to impact the STEM field positively, and a demonstrated commitment to being a role model or advocate for women in STEM.
