These textbooks, covering all subjects and mediums, are now accessible to students, teachers, and parents across the state. The move aims to ensure timely availability of academic resources and smooth commencement of the new school year in both government and private schools following the Karnataka State Board syllabus.

The textbooks have been developed by DSERT in collaboration with subject experts, experienced educators, and language specialists. They align with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and reflect Karnataka’s commitment to enhancing learning outcomes, promoting critical thinking, and ensuring equity in education across diverse linguistic groups.

SUBJECTS AND MEDIUMS COVERED

The textbooks span a wide range of subjects including Kannada, English, Mathematics, Science, Social Science, Hindi, Urdu, and Sanskrit, among others. They are available in multiple mediums of instruction such as Kannada, English, Urdu, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, ensuring inclusivity and access for all linguistic communities across the state.

Each textbook incorporates updated content, interactive exercises, activity-based learning, and real-life applications to make education more engaging and relevant to today’s learners. Additionally, special focus has been given to integrating foundational literacy and numeracy (FLN) in lower primary grades and fostering subject clarity in higher classes.

DIGITAL ACCESS AND DISTRIBUTION

In keeping with the state’s digital initiatives, all textbooks are also available in PDF format online through the official KTBS (Karnataka Textbook Society) portal. Students and teachers can easily download the textbooks free of cost, making learning more flexible and accessible.

Printed textbooks are being distributed through block-level educational offices and schools under the supervision of the Department of Public Instruction. Schools have been directed to ensure that every student receives their textbooks before the end of June 2025 to avoid any delay in the academic schedule.

This timely release and wide availability of textbooks mark an important step in Karnataka’s efforts to create a more inclusive, modern, and learner-centric education system. With the 2025–26 academic session underway, the comprehensive set of resources is expected to empower students to thrive academically and grow into confident, informed citizens
