The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has officially released the Class 10 (Matric) and Class 12 (Intermediate) compartment exam date sheet for the academic year 2025. This exam schedule covers students from Science, Arts, Commerce, and Vocational streams, offering them a second chance to improve their performance in subjects they were unable to clear during the main examinations.
According to the official notification, the BSEB compartment and special exams 2025 will be conducted from 2nd May to 15th May 2025. The practical exams are scheduled for 14th May and 15th May 2025.
EXAM TIMINGS
The exams will be conducted in two shifts each day:
- Morning Shift: 9:30 AM to 12:45 PM
- Afternoon Shift: 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM
Students will be given a 15-minute cool-off time before the start of the exam to read the question paper carefully and plan their answers.
To pass the compartment exams, candidates are required to secure a minimum of 33% marks in each subject. These exams are crucial for students who failed to meet the passing criteria during the annual board examinations and are looking for a second opportunity to continue their academic journey without a year’s delay.
EXAM STATISTICS
This year, a total of 15,58,077 students appeared for the Bihar Class 10 (Matric) exams. Out of these, 12,79,294 students passed, while 2,78,783 students failed, resulting in a pass percentage of 82.11%.
In the Bihar Board Intermediate Annual Examination 2025, the overall pass percentage stood at 86.50%, marking a significant improvement in performance across all streams. However, a sizable number of students still require the compartment exams to progress to the next level of their education.
