Karnataka University Ph.D admissions 2023 notification released

Applications for admission to the Degree of Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D) in the prescribed form are invited by the Karnataka University for the year 2022 – 23, Interested and Eligible candidates can apply for the full time / Part time Ph.D programmes for the year 2022 – 23

A candidate can undertake full time Ph.D programme who will work on the regular basis in the department till the submission of thesis, Whereas the a candidate can undertake part time Ph.D programme who are in-service / professional 

IMPORTANT DATES

Eligible and interested candidates can submit the duly filled in application along with relevant documents to the chairperson of concerned PG department within 10th April 2023, Entrance Exam is scheduled to be held on 5th May 2023, List of qualified candidates to be announced on 12th May 2023, Interview to be held on 22nd May 2023

ELIGIBILTY

Any candidate who have obtained Post Graduate (PG) from a recognized university with minimum 55% of Marks (50% for SC, ST, C-1, PwD) are eligible to apply for the Ph.D Programme for the year 2022 – 23 

SELECTION

The selection to the Ph.D programme to be made on the basis of Entrance Exam to be conducted for 100 Marks, Questions to be Multiple Choice Based, Each question carry 1 Mark, 50 Questions will be from Research Methodology and 50% from Cognate / Core Subjects, Duration of Exam is 120 minutes

APPLICATION FEES

The candidate applying for the Ph.D programme to pay the application fees of Rs 2200, whereas the application fees for SC, ST, C-1 candidates is Rs 1100
