The Karnataka School Quality Assessment and Accreditation Council has released the notification to update the details of 5th and 8th std students studying in Government, Aided and Unaided Schools for the year 2022 – 23,

5th & 8th std annual exam centers formation 2022 – 23 : Last date extended |
The Karnataka School Quality Assessment and Accreditation Council has extended the last date for creating Exam centers for 5th and 8th std annual exams for the year 2022 – 23,
As per the notification released the Exam centers for 5th and 8th std annual exams to be formed in accordance with the guidelines released by 8th February 2023, No further date extension be given, for more details CLICK HERE

The Karnataka School Quality Assessment and Accreditation Council has released the guidelines regarding creating Exam centers for 5th and 8th std annual exams for the year 2022 – 23,
As per the guidelines released Exam center for 5th std annual exam should consist of minimum 25 students, if student strength is less then exam center to be created by merge students from nearest Primary schools within 2 km,
However the Exam center for 8th std annual exam should consist of minimum 50 students, if student strength is less then exam center to be created by merge students from nearest Primary / High schools within 2 km, for more details CLICK HERE

REGISTRATION
The students enrolled in 5th and 8th std as per SATS to be registered for the Annual Exams 2023, there will be no registration fees, for more details CLICK HERE
EXAM CENTER
Minimum of 25 students of 5th std to be in School to be considered as Exam center, Whereas for 8th std minimum of 50 students strength to be considered, if student strength is less than minimum then nearest school will be tagged
EXAM STAFF
The Head master of School which selected as Exam Center to be the Exam Center Chief, High School teachers to be appointed in Exam squad, Exam Supervisors to be appointed from nearest cluster
EXAM PATTERN
The Examination to be conducted for 50 Marks – Written Exam : 40 Marks (20 MCQ and 20 Descriptive Questions), Oral Exam : 10 Marks

No Supplementary Exam for 5th and 8th std |
The Department of School Education and Literacy, Karnataka has put hold to the decision to conduct a supplementary examination for those who scored low marks in the assessment test conducted for Class 5 and 8 students of the state,
In the earlier circular issued by the Department of School Education and Literacy, Karnataka it was stated to conduct remedial teaching in June and July and conduct 2 supplementary examinations at the school level for those who scored low marks in the assessment test.
But now it has been decided to not to conduct the supplementary examination and the Department of School Education and Literacy, Karnataka has suggested to conduct remedial teaching in June – July to improve the learning ability

EXAM FEES
There will be no Exam fees this year, Exam fees to be not collected from students, Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) to bare the exam fees

Considering the strength of students in class 5 with Minimum 25 students at one centre the exam centre to be formed, if there is no minimum strength the students within 2 km to be tagged, Similarly considering the strength of students in class 8 with Minimum 50 students at one centre the exam centre to be formed, if there is no minimum strength the students within 2 km to be tagged

EXAM PATTERN
The Question paper to be prepared by Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) Based on the syllabus covered from November 2022 to March 2023, SA 2 Examination for students of class 5 and 8 to be held for 50 marks, duration of exam is 2 hours, Out of 50 Marks – 40 Marks Written Exam and 10 Marks Oral Exam to be conducted,
