The Ministry of Ayush (MoA), in collaboration with the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), has announced the “Yoga My Pride” Photography Contest to promote awareness about yoga and inspire global participation in the International Day of Yoga (IDY) 2025 celebrations. Open to people of all nationalities, this unique initiative aims to engage yoga enthusiasts in expressing their passion for yoga through photography, accompanied by a powerful message.
The contest is being conducted via the MyGov portal of the Government of India making it accessible to participants from across the globe. The duration of the contest is from 13th March to 30th April 2025, offering ample time for participants to create and submit their entries.
CONTEST CATEGORIES:
Entries will be judged under the following categories:
Female Categories
- Youth (Below 18 years)
- Adult (18 years and above)
- Yoga Professionals
Male Categories
- Youth (Below 18 years)
- Adult (18 years and above)
- Yoga Professionals
Participants are required to submit a photograph of themselves in a yoga pose, captured in a visually appealing background — such as heritage sites, scenic nature, rivers, forests, or even their home or studio. Each photograph must be accompanied by a short slogan or theme not exceeding 15 words, reflecting the spirit of yoga and the context of the image.
Entries should be uploaded in JPEG/PNG/SVG format, with a maximum file size of 2MB. Each person is allowed to participate under only one category and submit only one photograph.
JUDGING PROCESS:
The evaluation will be carried out in two stages:
- Shortlisting: Indian Missions abroad will select three winners per category.
- Final Evaluation: A national committee formed by the Ministry of Ayush and CCRYN will conduct the final selection.
PRIZES:
- First Prize: ₹1,00,000
- Second Prize: ₹75,000
- Third Prize: ₹50,000
