WhatsApp Channels Launched

In India and in over 149 countries the WhatsApp Channels has been launched, the WhatsApp Channels feature is similar to Instagram Channels and will likely help people reach a broader set of audience without compromising their privacy.

The WhatsApp Channels are a one-way broadcast tool for admins to send text, photos, recording, stickers, and polls, Its been made easier to create the WhatsApp Channels, as they found in a new tab called Updates

HOW TO CREATE

Step 1 : Open your WhatsApp account in Mobile 

Step 2 : Go to New tab called Updates (If Not found, Update your WhatsApp in Google Play Store)

Step 3 : Tap on the “+” icon, which is located on the right of Channels option (Once you tap on it, the app will give you an option to create a channel)

Step 4 : Add a name and an image your Channel As of now, there is no limit on the number of channels you can create

WHAT ARE PRIVACY FEATURES

WhatsApp Channels admin, phone number and profile photo won’t be shown to followers, in the same way one following a channel won’t reveal your phone number to the admin or other followers and the WhatsApp will only store channel history on servers for up to 30 days, 

Only the admins can post, also the admin have the option to block screenshots and forwards from their channel. The followers of the WhatsApp channels are not allowed to reply or send messages in a public channel, but they can react with an emoji to any post
