- An annual research grant of ₹7,00,000 to cover consumables, travel, research personnel, contingencies, and other research-related expenses.
- An additional ₹60,000 per annum as overhead charges to the host institution.
- The fellowship duration is fixed at five years, with no provision for extension
RESEARCH AND INSTITUTIONAL SUPPORT
Ramanujan Fellows can choose to work at any scientific institution, university, or national laboratory in India that agrees to provide the necessary administrative and R&D infrastructure to facilitate their research. However, the fellowship is intended to encourage research in new areas and laboratories, excluding the candidate’s Ph.D. institution.
