Pragati Scholarship Scheme for Girl Students (Diploma / Technical Degree) 2023 – 24 announced

All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Government of India has invited online applications for the Pragati Scholarship Scheme for Girl Students (Diploma / Technical Degree) for the year 2023 – 24

Scheme being implemented by AICTE aimed at providing assistance for advancement of Girls pursuing technical education. Education is one of the most important means of empowering women with the knowledge, skill and self-confidence necessary to participate fully in the development processes

A total of 5,000 scholarships are earmarked per annum under this scheme for pursuing First year of Diploma / Degree level course OR Second year of Diploma / Degree level course through lateral entry

ELIGIBLITY

Girl Students who are pursuing First year of Diploma / Degree level course OR Second year of Diploma / Degree level course through lateral entry are eligible to apply, Maximum two girl child per family are eligible, Family annual income from all sources should be less than Rs 8 Lakh

BENEFIT

The selected students receive Rs. 50,000 per annum for every year of study as lump sum amount towards payment of college fee, purchase of computer, stationeries, books, equipment’s, software’s etc. No other additional grant will be payable in lieu of hostel charges and medical charges etc. After selection, the awardee will be paid scholarship through DBT mode on annual basis, The selection of candidate will be carried out solely on the basis of merit of qualifying examination
