The Legrand Empowering Scholarship Program 2025-26, a CSR initiative by Group Legrand India, is a vital step toward promoting inclusive higher education for academically meritorious students. The program focuses on providing financial assistance to girls, differently-abled students, LGBTQ+ individuals, Covid-affected students, orphans, and children of single parents to help them pursue professional and undergraduate studies across India.
This scholarship is open to students admitted into B.Tech., B.E., B.Arch., B.B.A., B.Com., or B.Sc. programs for the academic year 2025–26. The scheme is divided into two categories: Special Category and General Category, each with specific eligibility criteria and benefits.
SPECIAL CATEGORY APPLICANTS
Students under the Special Category—which includes differently-abled girls, LGBTQ+ students, Covid-affected candidates, and students with single parents or who are orphans—are eligible to receive 80% of their annual course fee, up to INR 1,00,000 per year, until the course is completed. Preference is given to these applicants, provided they maintain good academic performance throughout.
Eligibility (Special Category):
- Must belong to one of the defined special categories.
- Must have secured admission in eligible degree programs in 2025–26.
- Must have passed Class 12 in 2024–25 with at least 60% marks (flexibility may be considered).
- Family income must not exceed INR 5,00,000 per annum.
GENERAL CATEGORY APPLICANTS
The General Category is open to girl students from any part of India. Selected applicants will be awarded 60% of their annual course fee, up to INR 60,000 per year, till course completion.
Eligibility (General Category):
- Must be a girl student with at least 70% marks in Class 10 and 12.
- Must have passed Class 12 in 2024–25 and secured admission in a recognized institution.
- Annual family income should not exceed INR 5,00,000.

- Aadhaar or valid address proof
- Class 10 and 12 mark sheets
- Admission proof and fee receipt
- Income proof (Form 16/Bank Statement/Income Certificate)
- Passport-size photo
- Bank account details
- Special certificates (if applicable)
