As per the notification released the last date to submit the application for Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (KTET) 2024 has been extended till 2nd May 2024,

Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan has released the notification for Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (KTET) 2024, It is a state level Examination conducted and it’s a mandatory test for individuals who want to pursue a career in teaching at primary and upper primary levels in schools across Kerala,

IMPORTANT DATES

As per the notification released the applications for the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (KTET) 2023 can be submitted from 17th April 2024 Last date to apply is 26th April 2024, Admit card to be released on 3rd June 2024, Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (KTET) 2024 is schedule to be held on 22nd and 23rd June 2024

ELIGIBLITY

Category I – lass 1 to 5

Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary or its equivalent with at least 45% marks and also  must have passed Trained Teachers Certificate or Diploma in Education or Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary or its equivalent with at least 45% marks with 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education or Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary with 50% marks and have qualified in B.El.Ed or 10+2 or its equivalent with a minimum of 45% marks and qualification certificate of the 2-year teacher training course (TTC) or 10+2 or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and a degree in 4 years B.El.Ed are eligible to apply

Category II – Class 6 to 8

Candidates passed B.Ed. For the course Two-year Diploma /TTC / D.Ed / D.L.Ed in Elementary Education or B.Ed with 45% marks. Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) / DLEd or 4 years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) with pass in Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary (Equivalent) with 50% marks are eligible to apply

Category III – Class 9 to 12 

Candidates with Degree in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology and having Post Graduation in Education (M.Sc Ed) degree in the same subject with not less than 50% marks or those who got admission to B.Ed based on the marks obtained in the Post Graduation degree are eligible to apply

Category IV

Candidates qualified as Arabic   /Hindi / Sanskrit and Urdu language teachers (up to UP level) Specialist teachers, Sports teachers and having Certificate / Diploma / Degree in teaching in any subject are eligible to apply

APPLICATION FEES

Candidates applying for the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (KTET) 2023 to pay Rs 1000 (General Categories) and Rs 750 by Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes and Differently abled 

EXAM PATTERN

Category I

Class 1 to 5 the Exam to be conducted for 150 Marks, Question Paper to consist of 150 Multiple Choice Questions, First language is Malayalam / Tamil and Kannada, While Second Language is English / Arabic

Category II

Class 6 to 8 the Exam to be conducted for 150 Marks, Question Paper to consist of 150 Multiple Choice Questions, First language is Malayalam / Tamil and Kannada, While Second Language is English / Arabic

Category III 

Class 9 to 12 the Exam to be conducted for 150 Marks, Question Paper to consist of 150 Multiple Choice Questions, Language is Malayalam / Tamil / Kannada / English

Category IV 

Exam to be conducted for 150 Marks, Question Paper to consist of 150 Multiple Choice Questions, Language is Malayalam / Tamil / Kannada / English
