Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the International Big Cat Alliance (IBCA) in Mysuru, India on 9th April 2023 at an event commemorating 50 years of Project Tiger in India, to create a global movement for enhancing the conservation of seven big cat species which include tiger, lion, leopard, snow leopard, cheetah, jaguar, and puma.
International Big Cat Alliance (IBCA) will strengthen global cooperation and mobilize financial and technical resources to support the entire ecosystem associated with the conservation of these species and their habitats.
