The online application process for the BS and BS-MS (dual degree) programmes for the year 2024 has been started by the Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs), to integrate and promote interdisciplinary science education and research the Government of India has established the Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) at Berhampur, Bhopal, Kolkata, Mohali, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram, and Tirupati
Selection to the IISERs BS and BS-MS (dual degree) programmes for the year 2024 to be done on the basis of IISER Aptitude Test (IAT), IAT 2024 will be conducted as a computer-based test in various centres across India, IAT will consist of 60 questions, 15 questions each from Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics, Total time for answering the test will be 180 minutes. Questions will be of multiple choice type with only one correct answer. The total marks obtained by a candidate out of 240 will be considered for preparing the Rank List
As per the notification released the last date to submit application is 13th May 2024, Corrections in particulars in already submitted application can be done from 16th to 17th May 2024, admit card to be released on 1st June 2024, IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) 2024 is scheduled to be held on 9th June 2024
The candidates must have passed the Class XII or equivalent level examination in 2022 or 2023 or 2024 from any board recognized by the Council of Boards of School Education in India are eligible to apply,
Candidates must have taken at least three subjects among Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics during their Class XII (or equivalent) examination, Candidates belonging to other categories require to score a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade in their Class XII (or equivalent) examination and those belonging to SC/ST/PwD require to score a minimum of 55% marks
