Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has released the notification regarding admission for Ph.D for the year 2024, As per the notification released Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) will be admitting students for Ph.D. Programme, for July, 2023 session.

Admission to the Ph.D. Programme shall be as per the admission criteria through Entrance Test to be held all over the country on 7th January 2024, The Entrance Test shall carry a weightage of 70% and 30% weightage shall be given to the interview/viva

Candidates awarded with fellowship/scholarship in UGC NET / UGC CSIR NET / GATE / CEED and similar National level tests, as per the validity specified by the regulatory bodies, shall be exempted from Entrance Test and their selection will be based on interview

ELIGIBILITY

Candidates who have completed 1 year /2 semester masters degree programme after a 4 year/8 semester bachelor’s degree programme or a 2 year/4 semester masters degree programme after a 3 year/6 semesters bachelors degree programme or qualifications declared equivalent to the masters degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body with at least 55% marks in aggregate are eligible to apply,

A relaxation of 5% marks or its equivalent grade may be allowed for those belonging to reserved categories 

EXAMINATION FEES

Rs.1000 Examination fees for IGNOU Ph.D admissions 2024 should be paid through payment gateway, using a Credit Card or a Debit Card issued by Banks in India or through online Banking
