Department of State Educational Research and Training (DSERT), Karnataka has released Class 4 to Class 10 all Subjects (Kannada Medium, English Medium, Urdu Medium) – Languages (1st Language / 2nd Language / 3rd Language) and Core Subjects (Mathematics / Science / Social Science) Workbooks in accordance with the Syllabus

Workbooks are a type of study material that basically include components to support the classroom learning. The Workbooks help students acquire the outcomes intended for a particular Subject. As each student has a different learning style. Therefore, just attending classes, Listen to the content taught in Schools cannot be sufficient for them to grasp all the learning. Workbooks ensure that students get a chance to practice multiple types of exercises that help them know better the concepts taught

Using workbooks in the classroom and at home develops the independent thinking among the students. Variety of questions in Workbooks helps students to think on their own about how to apply the concepts they have learned in the class. Practicing the questions given in the Workbooks also helps the students understand their doubts and clarify them, rather than just wait for the exams and just practicing the simple questions at the end of textbooks,

Workbooks help bring more effectiveness to the lessons taught in Classroom by teachers, As the students don’t learn passively. They get to practice regularly, Even in home learning progress of the student can be monitored by the parents, Workbooks leads to improved overall performance and they act as effective study guides for keeping in touch with studies
