National Curriculum Framework for Foundation Stage

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to implement National Curriculum Framework for Foundation Stage academic session 2023-24

National Curriculum Framework for Foundation Stage 2022 has been developed by the NCERT as per the mandate of the National Education Policy 2020 to outline the competencies and learning outcomes, general approaches that should guide the teaching and learning at the foundational stage.

It serves as a guideline for all the schools, teachers to design and also develop a curricula, syllabus and teaching materials that align with the national educational goals

CBSE has adopted National Curriculum Framework for Foundational Stage and the New  structure of  5 year education at foundational stage (from class Nursery to 2nd std) will be introduced in the session 2023 – 24

Schools offering foundational or preparatory education are advised by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to adhere to the recommendations regarding curriculum, pedagogy, assessment, other areas described in detail in the National Curriculum Framework for Foundational Stage 2022,

The National Curriculum Framework for Foundational Stage includes many examples and illustrations in it , those play a critical role in its implementation. The examples and illustrations help to clarify abstract concepts, reinforce learning, and also make new ideas more accessible to the practicing teachers.
