Telangana CM announces Special Wing to Facilitate Foreign Jobs for Youth

Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has announced that the state government will soon establish a special wing dedicated to providing overseas job opportunities for Indian youth. Highlighting the global demand for skilled workers, the CM said that countries such as Germany, Japan, South Korea, Russia, and Taiwan offer large-scale employment prospects for Indian youth, alongside traditional destinations like the United States.

The announcement was made on Saturday while inaugurating 65 Advanced Technology Centres (ATCs), which have been transformed from Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs), to provide advanced skill development for job seekers.

Telangana Government to Act as a Bridge for Overseas Jobs

Speaking at the event, CM Revanth Reddy emphasized that the USA is not the only destination for aspirants seeking foreign jobs. Nations like Germany, Japan, and South Korea have strong job markets where Indian talent is highly valued.

“We will create a wing in the government to provide job and livelihood opportunities for youth in foreign countries. From passport to visa processing, the government will act as a bridge to support your journey,” he said.

The initiative will be linked with skill-based training offered in Telangana, enabling students and job seekers to acquire globally relevant certifications and language skills required for international employment.

Education as a Tool for Poverty Alleviation

Recalling the efforts of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, who redistributed land to the poor, CM Reddy observed that land resources are no longer available for large-scale distribution. He stated that education and skill development are now the most effective tools to fight poverty.

“The government does not have lands to distribute anymore. Today, education is the weapon to overcome poverty,” he said.

This vision reflects the government’s focus on creating sustainable livelihoods through education, training, and global job placements.

Skills and Higher Education Initiatives in Telangana

To strengthen skill-based learning and higher education, the Telangana government is setting up:

  • Skills University to promote advanced vocational training.
  • Young India Sports University to boost careers in sports and allied fields.
  • Young India Integrated Residential Schools to provide holistic education.
  • Transformation of ITIs into Advanced Technology Centres (ATCs) in collaboration with the Tata Group.

The Tata Group has invested ₹2,100 crore for upgradation of these institutes, while the state government contributed ₹300 crore. These centres will provide world-class training, making Telangana youth more employable both domestically and abroad.

Stipend for ATC Students

The CM directed IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu to consult with Finance Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka to introduce a monthly stipend of ₹2,000 for students enrolling in ATCs from the next academic year. This step aims to encourage more youth to take advantage of skill-based education.

The announcement of a special government wing to facilitate foreign job opportunities marks a transformative step in Telangana’s employment policy. By combining advanced skill training, international job facilitation, and student support measures, the state is positioning itself as a hub for global employability.

With initiatives such as ATCs, Skills University, and overseas job facilitation, Telangana aims to empower its youth to secure global careers in Germany, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and beyond, ensuring both economic growth and poverty alleviation.
