The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has announced the revised date sheet for Class 10 and Class 12 biannual and private exams 2025. The exams, which were postponed earlier due to inclement weather and flood alerts, will now commence from September 8, 2025. The board emphasized that the rescheduling was necessary to ensure the safety of students and teachers, especially in flood-affected regions.
JKBOSE Class 10 & 12 Exams 2025: Morning and Afternoon Shifts
According to the updated schedule, Class 12 exams will be conducted in the morning shift starting at 10 AM, while Class 10 exams will take place in the afternoon shift from 2 PM onwards. This division of timings has been made to streamline logistics and ensure the safe movement of students.

All Class 10 exams will begin at 2 PM in the afternoon session. The Class 12 exam subjects will follow the same sequence in the morning session from 10 AM.
Safety Measures for Students
The JKBOSE has urged students to carefully check the revised date sheet and make necessary travel and study arrangements, especially those from areas affected by heavy rains and flooding. Local administrations are actively coordinating with schools to ensure safe exam centers, transportation facilities, and proper arrangements for smooth conduct of the exams.
Students are advised to carry their admit cards, reach their exam centers well in advance, and strictly follow the instructions issued by JKBOSE.
Schools to Reopen After Flood Closure
Meanwhile, after being closed for 11 days due to flash floods, landslides, and heavy rains, all government and private schools in Jammu and Kashmir are preparing to resume offline classes from September 10, 2025.
The Directorate of School Education Jammu has directed all Heads of Institutions (HOIs) and teaching staff to report for duty starting September 8, 2025 (Monday). A mandatory safety and infrastructure audit of all school buildings is being carried out to ensure that classrooms are safe for students to return.
