The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced a series of offline parenting workshops that will be conducted from September 4 to September 18, 2025, across selected cities in India. These workshops are part of CBSE’s efforts to strengthen the partnership between parents and schools in promoting the overall well-being of students.
The initiative builds upon the CBSE Parenting Calendar 2025–26, launched earlier this year, and follows orientation sessions that were successfully held in May and June 2025.
CBSE Parenting Workshops 2025: Dates and Venues
The workshops will be hosted at selected CBSE-affiliated schools in the following cities: Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Siliguri, Ludhiana, Indore
Each session will run from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, with participants required to report by 9:30 am. Since seats are limited, registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis through the official registration links provided in the CBSE circular. Selected participants will receive confirmation emails before the workshop.
Focus Areas of the CBSE Parenting Workshops
The interactive sessions are designed to provide parents with practical strategies to support the academic, emotional, and social needs of their children. Key focus areas include:
- Promoting positive parenting practices to build healthy parent-child relationships.
- Fostering digital well-being, helping families navigate technology responsibly.
- Building resilience in children to cope with academic and personal challenges.
- Creating supportive learning environments both at home and within schools.
These sessions will also highlight ways to balance discipline with empathy, encouraging parents to adopt approaches that nurture confidence and independence in children.
A Platform for Shared Learning
Beyond parent-specific guidance, the workshops will serve as a collaborative platform involving principals, teachers, and counsellors. By exchanging insights and experiences, participants can better align parenting strategies with school-based initiatives. This collaborative effort is expected to improve the implementation of the Parenting Calendar 2025–26 at the ground level.
The CBSE aims to encourage active parental involvement in students’ holistic development. By engaging parents directly, the workshops will equip families with practical tools to address the challenges of modern education, such as screen-time management, academic pressure, peer influence, and emotional well-being.
Importance of Parental Engagement in Education
According to CBSE, strong parental engagement is critical for a child’s success in academics and life. Research consistently shows that students whose parents are actively involved in their education tend to perform better, exhibit stronger self-esteem, and demonstrate improved social skills. The CBSE parenting workshops 2025 aim to bridge the gap between home and school, ensuring a student-centric approach to learning and well-being.
With the CBSE parenting workshops scheduled from September 4 to 18, 2025, the board continues its mission of fostering collaboration between parents and schools. By focusing on positive parenting, digital well-being, resilience building, and supportive learning, these sessions promise to empower families and strengthen the educational ecosystem. Parents across Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Siliguri, Ludhiana, and Indore are encouraged to register early to take advantage of this unique opportunity, for more details CLICK HERE
