The University of Delhi (DU) has officially announced the commencement of DU UG Admission 2025 Spot Round 1 registration from August 25, 2025. Eligible candidates who wish to secure a seat in Delhi University can register on the official DU admission portal – admission.uod.ac.in until August 27, 2025.
According to the official schedule, the DU UG Spot Round 1 Allotment Result 2025 will be declared on August 28, 2025, and the list of vacant seats will be displayed on August 25 at 5 PM.
Eligibility for DU UG Spot Round 1 Admission 2025
The spot round admission process has been designed to give one more chance to students who have already registered on the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal but have not yet taken admission. Candidates should note that:
- There will be no option for upgrade or withdrawal during the spot round.
- The allotted seat will be considered final.
- Candidates must carefully check the seat matrix and available vacancies before registering.
Admission Confirmation and Fee Payment
Once the DU Spot Round 1 Allotment 2025 is declared on August 28, candidates must confirm their admission by August 29, 2025. The last date to pay the admission fee is August 30, 2025. Students failing to pay the fee within the deadline will lose their allotted seat.
DU UG Admission 2025: Second Round Seat Allotment Data
The University of Delhi has already completed its second round of UG admission upgradation, where a total of 68,116 students were allotted seats. Out of the 17,595 applicants who applied for upgradation, around 7,685 candidates successfully secured an upgrade in their programme or college preferences. Meanwhile, 46,257 students chose to freeze their seats, confirming their admission without applying for further upgrades.
Additionally, 2,808 seats were allotted under performance-based and supernumerary categories, which include admissions through sports, extracurricular activities (ECA), and other reserved categories.
DU UG Seats 2025: Courses and Availability
Delhi University offers a total of 71,624 undergraduate (UG) seats across 79 UG programmes, including 186 BA programme combinations, spread over 60 colleges and departments. These include some of the most sought-after courses such as BA (Hons.), BCom (Hons.), BSc, BBA, and interdisciplinary programmes.
