Bihar is all set to make sporting history as it hosts the 12th Men’s Asia Cup Hockey Championship 2025 for the first time at the newly built Rajgir International Stadium. On 19 August 2025, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar unveiled the official logo, mascot, and trophy of the tournament, scheduled to be held from 29 August to 7 September 2025.

The mascot is inspired by two powerful symbols – legendary Indian hockey wizard Major Dhyan Chand, whose contributions shaped India’s golden era in hockey, and the tiger from Valmiki Tiger Reserve, representing the state’s wildlife heritage.
The mascot pays homage to India’s hockey legacy, while also reflecting Bihar’s natural and cultural identity. CM Nitish Kumar expressed pride that the championship coincides with National Sports Day (29 August), which commemorates Major Dhyan Chand’s birth anniversary.
