The Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot has released the Punjab NEET UG 2025 round 1 seat allotment results for MBBS and BDS admissions. The provisional results, published on the official website bfuhs.ac.in, mark an important step in the admission process for government and private medical and dental colleges in Punjab.
Among the top preferences for medical aspirants this year are Dayanand Medical College and Hospital, Ludhiana, and Government Medical College, Patiala, both of which have consistently been the leading institutions for MBBS studies in the state.
Provisional Result and Objection Process
The round 1 allotment list includes candidates allotted seats in both government and private medical and dental institutions across Punjab. BFUHS has opened a window for candidates to raise objections against the provisional results. Any discrepancies in seat allotment, category, or other details can be flagged during this period.
Once the objections are reviewed and verified, the final seat allotment result will be released as per the revised counselling schedule. The final allotment list will determine the confirmed admissions for round 1 of Punjab NEET UG 2025 counselling.
Revised Counselling Schedule
As per the updated timeline, BFUHS will announce the final round 1 seat allotment result today. After the final list is published, candidates will be required to physically report to their allotted colleges between August 16 and August 24.
During this period, candidates must:
- Submit all necessary admission documents for verification.
- Pay a six-month tuition fee to secure their admission.
The deadline for completing both tuition fee payment and admission confirmation is 4 PM on August 24, 2025. Failure to meet this deadline will result in the cancellation of the allotted seat, and the candidate may lose the chance to participate in further counselling rounds.
Top Choices and Competition
Seats at premier medical institutions such as Dayanand Medical College, Ludhiana, and Government Medical College, Patiala, remain the most sought-after by NEET UG qualifiers. High cut-off scores and limited seat availability mean that only top-ranking candidates secure places in these colleges during round 1.
Similarly, for dental courses, reputed institutions in the state have seen strong interest, with candidates aiming for colleges offering excellent clinical exposure and infrastructure.
Counselling for MBBS and BDS Admissions
The Punjab NEET UG counselling process is conducted for admission to both MBBS and BDS courses in government and private medical and dental colleges. Seats are allotted based on NEET UG 2025 ranks, category-wise reservation policies, and candidate preferences submitted during the choice-filling stage.
BFUHS has urged candidates to regularly check the official website for updates and follow the prescribed timelines strictly to avoid losing their allotted seats.
With the release of the round 1 results, aspiring doctors and dentists in Punjab are now one step closer to beginning their medical education journey in the 2025–26 academic session, for more details and check results CLICK HERE
