Jamia Millia Islamia Opens Admissions for 2025–26 Distance and Online Programmes

The Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) at Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has announced the start of admissions for the 2025–26 academic session, offering a diverse range of distance and online mode programmes. Eligible candidates can apply via the official portal.

The new academic prospectus was formally unveiled last week by JMI Vice Chancellor Prof. Mazhar Asif and Registrar Prof. Md. Mahtab Alam Rizvi, in the presence of CDOE Dean Prof. M. Moshahid Alam Rizvi and members of the Prospectus Committee. According to the university, this year’s offerings are more extensive, with fresh additions to both academic and skill-oriented courses.

Wide Range of Programmes with New Additions

The admission cycle for 2025–26 includes an extensive list of postgraduate degrees in Hindi, Urdu, English, Education, Geography, History, Islamic Studies, Political Science, Public Administration, Sociology, Commerce, MBA, and MA in Human Resource Management.

Undergraduate programmes include B.Ed., BA, B.Com., BBA, and BCIBF (Bachelor of Commerce in International Business and Finance). In addition, the CDOE will offer postgraduate diplomas in Guidance and Counselling and Geoinformatics.

Seven advanced diploma programmes are also available in:

  • Logistics and Supply Chain Management
  • Public Policy and Governance
  • International Relations and Global Governance
  • Educational Media Production
  • Mass Media in Hindi
  • Mass Media in Urdu
  • Taxation

Two new certificate programmes have been introduced this year in Information Technology and Computer Hardware and Network Technology, aimed at equipping learners with job-ready technical skills.

Application Deadlines and Procedures

The detailed prospectus, containing admission guidelines, course structures, and learner support information, is available through the JMI Controller of Examinations website at jmicoe.in.

  • Non-entrance test programmes: Applications open until 31 August 2025.
  • MBA and B.Ed. programmes: Entrance test mandatory; applications close on 21 August 2025.

Interested candidates must fill in the online application form, upload necessary documents, and pay the prescribed fee to complete the process.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Mazhar Asif emphasised the importance of reaching learners across all regions, stating, “The aim should be to reach learners in all regions,” and urged the CDOE to strengthen its learner support network in line with the National Education Policy (NEP).
