The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially released the SSC August Exam Calendar 2025, providing a comprehensive schedule of exams to be held during the month. Aspirants preparing for various SSC recruitment exams can now access the exam dates and details on the SSC’s official website — ssc.gov.in.
According to the calendar, two major examinations are scheduled for August:
Stenographer Grade ‘C’ & ‘D’ Examination, 2025 (CBE):

- Exam Mode: Computer-Based Examination (CBE)
- Duration: 2 hours
- Total Marks: 200
- Question Type: Objective-type multiple choice
- Medium: English and Hindi
- Negative Marking: 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer
The Stenographer examination will test candidates on various subjects such as General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, and English Language & Comprehension. Aspirants are advised to practice time management, as accuracy and speed will play crucial roles due to the negative marking policy.
Combined Hindi Translators (CHT) Examination, 2025 (Paper-I):

- Duration: 2 hours
- Question Type: Objective-type multiple choice
- Subjects: General Hindi and General English
- Negative Marking: 0.25 marks for each wrong answer
Paper-I of the CHT Examination is qualifying in nature, and based on the marks secured in this test, candidates will be shortlisted, category-wise, for Paper-II, which is a Descriptive Paper. The descriptive stage will test the candidate’s proficiency in translation and essay writing.
